Prevent soil from obstructing the drainage hole by laying mesh on the bottom and filling the planter ⅓ of the way with hydro grains. Fill the planter with potting soil and, if desired, top it with more hydro grains to preserve moisture.

The Capital Garden Saxon 20" x 49" Fiberglass Trough Planter resembles welded metal planters, but are made from lightweight fiberglass instead. They feature attractive rivet detailing and a beaten copper finish for a design that beautifully contrasts organic materials. Fiberglass is weather and frost resistant, and is not prone to cracking like other planter materials. Available in multiple sizes.

Completely frost-proof and non-corrosive, it is superior to terracotta, stone and even some metals and is ideal for use inside and out.
