We recommend that you allow your teak furniture to weather naturally to an elegant silver tone and simply clean thoroughly once or twice a year with our Wood Cleaner or soap and water.

Wash your teak wood surfaces with a plastic bristle brush and mild dish soap, then rinse clean with water. Once complete, allow to dry.

Under no circumstances should a power washer be used to clean teak furniture as this will erode the surface.

Because teak is a naturally oily wood, it is not possible to paint or varnish. Any paint or varnish applied will not adhere properly to the surface and after a short while will start to peel off.

Surface scratches or stains may be removed with an occasional light sanding then allowed to age to a natural silver tone over time.

SUNBRELLA® FABRIC

Protecting New and Newly Cleaned Sunbrella® Fabric:

Fabric Protector makes cushion fabric repellent to water and dirt and inhibits the growth of mold and mildew while assisting in the prevention of stains. In a ventilated area, apply Fabric Protector to all dry and clean Sunbrella® fabric surfaces until soaked, then let dry completely. Reapply to clean surfaces 1x per year or after cleaning.

As Needed Cleaning Instructions:

Moisten fabric surfaces with a sponge or wet towel then spray a light mist of Fabric Cleaner over the entire surface of the fabric. Use a sponge or a clean towel to gently break up any stains. Rinse fabric completely to remove all soapy residue. Let fabric air dry completely.

ALTERNATIVELY: You can prepare a cleaning solution of ¼ cup mild soap per gallon of warm water and place the cleaning solution into a spray bottle.

Jensen Leisure Furniture, LLC d.b.a. “Jensen Outdoor” warranties to the original purchaser (“Purchaser”) that, for a period of five (5) years of residential use or for a period of three (3) years of commercial use from the date of purchase (except as specified below), under normal use and service conditions, Jensen Outdoor furniture shall be free from defects in workmanship or materials. This warranty shall only be applicable and enforceable in the United States of America and Canada.

WOOD FRAMES

Wood frames are warranted to not break or crack for five (5) years of residential use or three (3) years of commercial use. Wood frames require user maintenance and changes in the color of the wood are normal and should be expected to occur over time as the natural material ages. Therefore, fading and color changes in wood frames are not covered by this warranty. Small checks in the surface (minuscule openings of the wood grain at the ends when exposed to the elements over time) are natural and in no way affect the structural integrity of the frames. Superficial checks are not covered by this warranty. Components such as plastic foot glides are subject to wear and tear and are not considered part of the frame.

METAL FRAMES

Welds and joints are warranted to not break or crack for five (5) years of residential use or three (3) years of commercial use. Powder coat finish is warranted to not peel for five (5) years of residential use. Rust or corrosion of metal components, when placed in close proximity to known salt environments, is not covered by this warranty.

HARDWARE

Hardware used in the production or assembly of Jensen Outdoor furniture is warranted to not break for five (5) years of residential use or three (3) years of commercial use.

WOVEN VIRO^® FIBER

Woven Viro^® Fiber is warranted to not fail structurally, crack, unravel, fade excessively, or rot for five (5) years of residential use or three (3) years of commercial use.

SLING FABRIC

Sling fabric is warranted from tears and becoming non-functional because of loss of dimensional stability from exposure conditions including sunlight and normal atmospheric conditions for three (3) years of use. Abnormal or excessive discoloration and fading are covered.

SUNBRELLA^® CUSHION & PILLOW FABRIC

Cushions and pillows are warranted to be free from workmanship or material defects for one (1) year from purchase. The fabric on cushions and pillows is warranted to not tear, or fade excessively for one (1) year from purchase.

HIGH-PRESSURE LAMINATE (HPL) SURFACES

High-Pressure Laminate (HPL) is warranted to not fail structurally, crack, fade excessively, or rot for five (5) years of residential use or three (3) years of commercial use.

Proper maintenance of your product is required to support the benefits of this warranty. This warranty is voided in the event that there are indications of abuse or neglect to the furniture. This warranty does not apply to normal wear and tear effects on Jensen Outdoor products, which are received by regular use of the products.

EXCLUSIONS

This Limited Warranty does not apply to damage resulting from normal wear & tear, handling, improper or lack of use, care, or maintenance, abuse, accident, alteration, tampering, natural variation of color, texture, or grain and aging of natural products, or use in violation of applicable laws, rules, regulations, and ordinances. 

Customer’s Own Material (COM) and any other material are not covered by this warranty. 

Repair or modification by anyone other than Jensen Outdoor or an approved agent of Jensen Outdoor voids the warranty. Additional exceptions may apply. Freight damage is not covered under our Jensen Outdoor Limited Residential Warranty. 

Jensen Outdoor expressly disclaims all other warranties, express or implied, statutory or otherwise, including but not limited to, any warranty of merchantability, title, non-infringement, or fitness for a particular purpose.

We reserve the right to discontinue or modify any product line or color without notifying the Purchaser. If the original product is not available, we retain the right to choose to provide replacement material of equal value or quality.

No person or entity is authorized by Jensen Outdoor to make (and Jensen Outdoor shall not be bound by) any statement or representation as to the quality or performance of Jensen Outdoor products other than as contained in this warranty.

This warranty may not be altered or amended except in a written instrument signed by Jensen Outdoor and Purchaser. Under no circumstances will Jensen Outdoor be liable for special, incidental or consequential damages, whether such damages are sought in contract, in tort (including but not limited to negligence and strict liability) or otherwise, and Jensen Outdoor’s liability with respect to defective products shall in no event exceed the replacement of such products or return of the purchase price, as described above.

Some states do not allow the exclusions or limitations of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations or exclusions may not apply to you. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other rights that vary from state to state.
