Kingsley BateTeak Protector and Sealer - Case of 3 5-Liter Bottles

To keep the honey brown finish on your new teak furniture, you will want to apply Kingsley Bate's Teak Protector to the surface to prevent the natural weathering of the finish to silver grey. This product is water based and when used once a season, will slow the weathering process that teak wood experiences when left outside. 

Please note: This product has a pigment which might affect the visual appearance of the furniture. We recommend applying the product in an inconspicuous location (bottom of a chair or table) to ensure the Color Protector and Sealer is suitable. Note that adding multiple coats will continue to change the color and appearance of how the product will look. Also, the condition of your wood (i.e. completely brand new, slightly weathered, etc.) could also affect the color of the solution when applied to teak furniture..

We recommend waiting two weeks before applying the protector to new teak furniture to allow the top grain to soften and rise slightly.

WHAT'S NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY

This warranty does not cover and is void if damage is a result of freight/shipping, a failure caused by unreasonable or abusive use, acts of God, improper care, freeze damage, mildew, normal wear, fading and stretching of fabrics, glass breakage, glides, repairs or modifications to product after purchase, or if the customer fails to provide reasonable and necessary care and maintenance as outlined in instructions.

Teak wood is a natural material. As such, you may notice checking (small cracks), teak oil secretions, and lifting of the grain as the wood weathers outdoors. These are normal occurrences and are not covered by warranty.

Distressed teak furniture is prized for its unique character. Nicks, splits, cracks, knots, and other imperfections in the wood are an inherent part of the furniture design. Finishes are hand applied and some slight color variation is normal. By its nature, distressed teak wood planks may be somewhat uneven and may cup or bow over time due to changes in temperature, or humidity. We believe this only enriches the furniture's distressed appeal and is not covered by warranty.
