Teak Cleaning & Care
Teak furniture does not require maintenance to remain sturdy and in good shape, even when kept outdoors and exposed to the weather. However, a periodic cleaning is recommended to eliminate the build-up of dirt and increase longevity. To clean outdoor teak furniture, scrub your wet furniture using a soft bristle brush and warm soapy water. When finished, rinse the entire surface with more fresh water to remove any remaining residue.
Dos and Don'ts: Do clean regularly to prevent mildew growth. Do test cleaning products in a small, inconspicuous area before full application. Don't power wash teak - it damages the wood fibers. Don't allow water to pool for extended periods.
Stone Care
Natural stone is durable and weather-resistant when properly maintained, but susceptible to staining from oils, acids, and standing water.
For routine care, wipe regularly with a soft cloth and mild soap solution. Rinse thoroughly and air or towel dry to prevent water spotting. Remove standing water after rainfall. Deep clean and protect with stone-specific products, always following directions and testing on inconspicious areas.
Tips: Use coasters, placemats, or trays to protect against spills and acidic foods. Elevated decorative items to prevent moisture rings. During longer non-use periods, store and clean dry furniture using a protective cover. Do not use vinegar, lemon juice, or any other acidic cleaners. Do not use abrasive pads or powders that may scratch the tabletop.
