In 1983, Kingsley Bate—with the Indonesian government and its people—developed a teak furniture program in Java, ensuring that teak could be sustainably harvested without detriment to the country’s natural resources. This legacy continues today, as Kingsley Bate’s teak furniture is crafted only with premium-quality, sustainably harvested Indonesian teak and precise mortise and tenon joinery.

Kingsley Bate furniture comes with a limited warranty against manufacturer’s defects. Standard warranty periods for each category of furniture are provided below. WHAT'S NOT COVERED UNDER WARRANTY

This warranty does not cover and is void if damage is a result of freight/shipping, a failure caused by unreasonable or abusive use, acts of God, improper care, freeze damage, mildew, normal wear, fading and stretching of fabrics, glass breakage, glides, repairs or modifications to product after purchase, or if the customer fails to provide reasonable and necessary care and maintenance as outlined in instructions.

Teak wood is a natural material. As such, you may notice checking (small cracks), teak oil secretions, and lifting of the grain as the wood weathers outdoors. These are normal occurrences and are not covered by warranty.

Distressed teak furniture is prized for its unique character. Nicks, splits, cracks, knots, and other imperfections in the wood are an inherent part of the furniture design. Finishes are hand applied and some slight color variation is normal. By its nature, distressed teak wood planks may be somewhat uneven and may cup or bow over time due to changes in temperature, or humidity. We believe this only enriches the furniture's distressed appeal and is not covered by warranty.
