PolywoodSouth Beach Rocking Chair

When an ordinary chair just won't do, choose the POLYWOOD South Beach Rocker for comfort and soothing motion on your porch or patio. This rocker has all the great qualities of an Adirondack chair including a comfortable and ergonomic seat and back with wide arms and a broad frame. It also has a smooth, stable, and secure rocking motion. This chair is made from POLYWOOD, which is waterproof, fade-resistant, and never needs painting, staining, or touch-ups. There is also an optional chair cushion that you can order for this rocker made from Revolution or Sunbrella fabrics in more than fifteen colors and patterns.

Plastic Frame Care
POLYWOOD material is made of HDPE plastic resin that has been purified and UV protected. It is generally cared for and cleaned with soap and warm water. For certain stains and additional cleaning power, a 1/3 bleach and 2/3 water solution can be used on the product without affecting the color. Also, a popular method of cleaning is a high pressure power wash. (Not to exceed 1,500 psi, which is the equivalent of a car wash.) The surface characteristics of the product may require the use of a soft bristle brush to get into the creases.

The hardware used in the assembly and construction of our furniture is an 18-8 commercial grade stainless steel that has an additional Xylan protective and cosmetic coating. Although the quality of the hardware has a high level of corrosive resistance, the hardware can show some sign of corrosion in salt air environments.

A practical solution to these signs of corrosion would be to wash the product with soap and water. Use a soft bristle brush to scrub the corroding areas of the hardware. Also, use appliance touch up paint in the appropriate color to protect the hardware. Appliance touch up paint can be purchased at local hardware stores.

Cushion Care
POLYWOOD's cushions are made using high quality 100% solution-dyed acrylic or acrylic blended Sunbrella fabrics, and the finest outdoor foam and fiberfill. Fabrics have been factory treated to resist stains and mildew. Regular cleaning with mild soap and water using a sponge or soft brush is recommended. To remove mildew stains, use a solution of one cup bleach and one half cup laundry detergent mixed in a gallon of warm water. Apply solution to the seating surface, allow to soak for ten minutes, thoroughly rinse and allow to air dry before using. Cushions will dry at a much faster rate when removed from the frames and placed on their sides or edges.
