The POLYWOOD The Wave Chair Left features a contoured seat and the top of the backrest has a unique downslope to it, giving the appearance of a wave as it ebbs. This all-weather chair looks great by itself, but when all four Adirondack chairs from the Wave Collection are organized together in a row they create a splendid visual of a cresting wave. Place one, or the entire Wave Collection, on the deck of your beach house and enjoy watching the sunset over the beautiful ocean, or gather a few chairs together on your patio or deck to create a relaxing spot for yourself and your loved ones.

The chair is constructed of genuine POLYWOOD lumber that is not prone to splinter, crack, chip, peel, or rot and is built to withstand a range of climates including hot sun, snowy winters, and strong coastal winds. There is UV-protectant and color continuously throughout the HDPE material and requires no painting or waterproofing. The frame is easily cleaned with soap, water, and a soft bristle brush.

Optional are all-weather, high-performance outdoor cushions with your choice of fabric colors. Cushions are durable, fade-resistant, and water-resistant. The material is also protective against weather, salt, sun, mold, and mildew, so your cushions feel new even after seasons of use. With an array of styles and colors, you can choose a fabric that complements your outdoor space.

Plastic Frame Care

POLYWOOD material is made of HDPE plastic resin that has been purified and UV protected. It is generally cared for and cleaned with soap and warm water. For certain stains and additional cleaning power, a 1/3 bleach and 2/3 water solution can be used on the product without affecting the color. Also, a popular method of cleaning is a high-pressure power wash. (Not to exceed 1,500 psi, which is the equivalent of a car wash.) The surface characteristics of the product may require the use of a soft bristle brush to get into the creases.

The hardware used in the assembly and construction of our furniture is an 18-8 commercial grade stainless steel that has an additional Xylan protective and cosmetic coating. Although the quality of the hardware has a high level of corrosive resistance, the hardware can show some signs of corrosion in salt air environments.

A practical solution to these signs of corrosion would be to wash the product with soap and water. Use a soft bristle brush to scrub the corroding areas of the hardware. Also, use appliance touch-up paint in the appropriate color to protect the hardware. Appliance touch-up paint can be purchased at local hardware stores.

Cushion Care

POLYWOOD's cushions are made using high quality 100% solution-dyed acrylic or acrylic blended fabrics, and the finest outdoor foam and fiberfill. Fabrics have been factory-treated to resist stains and mildew. Regular cleaning with mild soap and water using a sponge or soft brush is recommended. To remove mildew stains, use a solution of one cup bleach and one half cup laundry detergent mixed in a gallon of warm water. Apply the solution to the seating surface, allow to soak for ten minutes, thoroughly rinse, and allow to air dry before using. Cushions will dry at a much faster rate when removed from the frames and placed on their sides or edges.
