The Machiya Exterior bench is an outdoor bench created by Japanese designer Jin Kuramoto. Machiya is the name of traditional wooden townhouses found throughout Japan which are built side-by-side, making them space efficiently, and with characteristic wooden lattices on the facade. Through beautiful lines and a smart storage shelf these features are implemented in the Machiya Exterior bench.

The Machiya Exterior bench is handcrafted in AluRattan® and ArtFibre®, and therefore has a unique strength and durability. AluRattan® is weather-resistant powder-coated aluminum and ArtFibre® is artificial fibers made from polyethylene. Due to the weather-resistant materials the bench can stand outside all year round, without affecting the design or durability. Wash with water mixed with mild soap and remove stains with a sponge or medium brush.

If a Sika Design product is found to be defective in that time period and reported with supporting photos, Sika Design will–at its sole discretion–instruct repairs, refund and/or replace the product.
