How to Measure for your Protective Covers

Here are some tips for measuring your patio furniture, determining cover size and using your Treasure Garden storage pouch.

How to use Storage Pouch

Excluding umbrella covers, all of Treasure Garden’s patio furniture covers come with a sewn-on storage pouch. To use, fold up your cover to match the size of the pouch. Before folding, make sure the pouch is on the outside of the bundle. Then, fold the cover into the pouch by turning the pouch inside-out. To close the pouch, use the Velcro closure.

Modular Protective Covers

For modular style covers, measure width, depth and height. Width is measured from the widest point between the right and left side (i.e.: from side to side or back width). Depth is measured from front to back at its deepest point. When measuring depth, be sure to include the armrest end if it extends beyond the seat. Height is measured from the ground to the highest point, which is usually to the chairs back.

Round Table & Chairs Protective Covers

For round table and chair covers, measure diameter and height. You’ll want to include chairs in your measurements, so make sure they are as close to the table as possible. Diameter is measured from end to end across the table and includes the chairs back, which is the widest point. Height is measured from the ground to the highest point, usually to the chairs back. If your table has an umbrella, use covers with a "Hole" style. If your table does not accommodate an umbrella, a "No Hole" style is the recommended option. The Velcro closure allows the cover to be easily taken on and off without removing your umbrella.

OVAL/REC./SQ. Table & Chairs Protective Covers

For oval, rectangular and square table and chair covers, measure width, depth and height. Again, your measurements should include chairs, so be sure they are placed as close to the table as possible. Width is measured from end to end across the short side of the table and includes the chairs back, which is the widest point. Length is measured from end to end across the long side of the table and includes chairs. Height is measured from the ground to the highest point, usually to the chairs back. Use covers with a "Hole" style when your table is used with an umbrella. If the table does not accommodate an umbrella, a "No Hole" style is the recommended option. The Velcro closures allow the covers to be easily taken on and off without removing the umbrella from the table.

Chair/Chaise/Sofa/Love Seat Protective Covers

For chair, chaise, sofa and love seat covers, measure width, depth and height. Width is measured from the widest point between the right and left side (i.e.: from armrest to armrest or back width). Depth is measured from front to back at its deepest point (including armrest end - if it extends beyond the seat). Height is measured from the ground to the highest point, which is usually to the backrest.

Deep Seating Protective Covers

For deep seating covers, measure width, depth and height. Width is measured from the widest point between the right and left side (i.e.: from armrest to armrest or back width). Depth is measured from front to back at its deepest point. When taking depth measurements, include the armrest end if it extends beyond the seat. Height is measured from the ground to the highest point, which is usually to the chairs back.

Umbrellas & Accessories Protective Covers

For umbrella covers, match cover to umbrella style or canopy size. The Large size fits 6' - 8.5' styles, and the X-Large size fits 9' - 11' styles. All umbrella covers include a high reach rod to allow for coverage without having to remove the umbrella from its base.

Fire Pit Protective Covers

For round fire pit covers, measure diameter and height. For oval, rectangular or square chat table and fire pit covers, measure the width, depth and height.
