Prevent soil from obstructing the drainage hole by laying mesh on the bottom and filling the planter ⅓ of the way with hydro grains. Fill the planter with potting soil and, if desired, top it with more hydro grains to preserve moisture.

Description
The Capital Garden Mediterranean 4 vessel is a copy of a centuries-old original vessel used for carrying olive oil, molasses, and wine. This vessel includes a metal stand to hold the pot upright, this planter won't stand by itself because it features a rounded bottom. Its design is authentically reproduced in fiberglass to mimic the terra cotta original. Fiberglass is lightweight, withstands frost, is waterproof, and will not crack like terra cotta will. This vessel is shipped without drainage holes but we will happily drill them for you prior to shipment on request. This planter is shown in a Terracotta finish, which is how this planter is stocked for quick shipping. Includes metal stand.
