In 1954, French outdoor furniture manufacturer Lafuma Mobilier launched its first line of portable outdoor furniture made of metal and cotton fabric. These folding chairs quickly became popular for weekend and holiday activities due to their simplicity and practicality. In 1962, the company invented the Translude Relax chair, a multi-position, light, and comfortable folding chair that became the ancestor of its star product, the Relax chair, which became famous for its “zero gravity” design.

While Lafuma outdoor furniture is designed to resist the weather, moisture and sunlight, it is recommended that you protect it well when not in use. Before taking it in for the winter some maintenance is required. After several months of use, sunlounger or deckchair fabrics may have gathered dirt and dust. It is important to clean them with soapy water, the non-abrasive side of a sponge and to let them dry off.

Chairs and tables have a 5-year warranty. All accessories and replacement fabrics have a 2-year warranty.
