Welcome to total relaxation. The POLYWOOD Nautical Chaise with Arms & Wheels brings coastal-inspired style and all-day relaxation to your sundeck or pool area. It's contoured for extraordinary comfort, stackable for easy storage, and designed with wheels so you can chase the sun (or head to the shade) with ease. Supportive armrests are great for resting a phone or drinks.
The table is constructed of genuine POLYWOOD® lumber that is not prone to splinter, crack, chip, peel, or rot and is built to withstand a range of climates including hot sun, snowy winters, and strong coastal winds. There is UV-protectant and color continuously throughout the HDPE material and requires no painting or waterproofing. The frame is easily cleaned with soap, water, and a soft bristle brush.
Plastic Frame Care
POLYWOOD material is made of HDPE plastic resin that has been purified and UV protected. It is generally cared for and cleaned with soap and warm water. For certain stains and additional cleaning power, a 1/3 bleach and 2/3 water solution can be used on the product without affecting the color. Also, a popular method of cleaning is a high-pressure power wash. (Not to exceed 1,500 psi, which is the equivalent of a car wash.) The surface characteristics of the product may require the use of a soft bristle brush to get into the creases.
The hardware used in the assembly and construction of our furniture is an 18-8 commercial grade stainless steel that has an additional Xylan protective and cosmetic coating. Although the quality of the hardware has a high level of corrosive resistance, the hardware can show some signs of corrosion in salt air environments.
A practical solution to these signs of corrosion would be to wash the product with soap and water. Use a soft bristle brush to scrub the corroding areas of the hardware. Also, use appliance touch-up paint in the appropriate color to protect the hardware. Appliance touch-up paint can be purchased at local hardware stores.
POLYWOOD is one of the most well-known producers of HDPE (high-density polyethylene) furniture. All POLYWOOD furniture is made from genuine POLYWOOD® lumber, a proprietary material made using landfill-bound and ocean-bound plastics.
Designed to withstand even the harshest elements—from hot sun to heavy blizzards— POLYWOOD outdoor furniture is resistant to stains and corrosive substances and isn’t prone to splinter, crack, chip, peel, or rot. POLYWOOD recycles an average of 400,000 landfill-bound and ocean-bound plastic containers every day. Truckloads of recycled plastic are transformed into genuine POLYWOOD® lumber, which is made into high-quality POLYWOOD outdoor furniture.
What’s more, POLYWOOD’s array of outdoor furnishings—which includes Adirondack chairs, dining, benches, lounging, deep seating, and more—feature color-stay technology and are backed by a 20-year warranty.
“HDPE furniture is amazingly low-maintenance and virtually indestructible—but better yet, this furniture has a great sustainability story,” says AuthenTEAK CEO Eric Brenner. “Not only does the POLYWOOD brand of furniture put ocean-bound plastics to good use, but because their furniture is so well made, it does not have to be replaced very often.”
