The Jort Seating Collection by Pottery Pots offers a generous variety of large planters with XXL dimensions. This large planter features a sitting area and is offered in the muted fiberstone grey and is part of a collection of mega-pots perfect for projects in large spaces such as a spacious garden, a hotel entrance, an office or a public area. The fiberstone pot is a combination of Fiberglass and 22% finely ground stone. In addition, due to their size, almost all of the pots contain a frame and corner pieces on the inside which give them extra strength. Please Note: the Grey finish will fade over time if placed in consistent direct sunlight. For pots placed outside, it is important to drill holes in the bottom, so the excess water can drain and the planter does not break during frost.

These planters are frost resistant, however, it is important that they don't stand directly on the ground in the event of frost. Most planters have feet at the bottom, which means they are already off the ground so nothing has to be done during frost conditions. For any planter that does not have feet, we recommend placing them on a shelf or saucer. Furthermore, we recommend keeping the drainage hole in the middle of the each planter free from any kind of soil, so the water can always drain out.

• Always use mild detergents - never use harsh, chemical detergents. A dry cloth or sponge and some water and soap will be enough
• To preserve the color of the materials, avoid direct sunlight whenever possible. Most products will show discoloration over time.
• For pots placed outside, it is important to drill holes in the bottom, so the excess water can drain and the planter does not break during frost. Some of our pots already contain a drainage hole.

Filling Tip

Make sure that the soil cannot clog the drainage hole.

This can be done by laying mesh on the bottom. So the water can run off and there is no risk that the planter breaks or ruptures in frost. Next, fill 1/3 of the planter with Hydro grains. This allows for better water management in the planter so that your plants grow better. Then fill the planter with potting soil. You can choose to sprinkle a layer of Hydro grains on the potting soil. This has a decorative effect and ensures that the top layer of the potting soil will dry out less rapidly.
