Description
Set up your new Cane-line Major Parasol w/ Slide System and keep it secure with this Cane-line Parasol Umbrella Base w/ Wheels. This base is crafted from durable slate and exhibits a gorgeous black finish. Four built-in wheels at the edge of the base allow you to easily roll it across flat surfaces such as your deck, patio or poolside area. This base accommodates market umbrellas and poles with a maximum diameter of 2.10 inches (54 millimeters).

Slate Properties
Before using your slate item, always treat it with sealant. This will extend the lifetime of the product and make it more resistant to soil and debris. Before treatment, make sure the item is clean and dry. Do not apply sealant in direct sunlight. The sealant can be applied with a brush, roll or lint-free cloth. Make sure to treat both the tops and sides of the product. Wipe off any excess sealant within one hour. The furniture will be fully protected after approx. 3 hours. This sealant makes the slate item both soil and weather-resistant. To keep it that way, it is important to treat the table at least twice a year. Cane-line recommends treating the furniture before starting the next season of use.
Slate Cleaning
Your slate item has been treated with a special sealant from the manufacturer, making it somewhat soil, moisture and water-resistant. Slate must be protected from acidic products as they can damage the surface. Take care to remove any spilled wine, juice etc. immediately to avoid damaging the surface. Placing objects on the item, such as a potted plant, can cause scratches. Do not place hot items directly on the item. Always wipe slate off after use with a moist microfiber cloth with a little dishwashing detergent, if needed. Do not use harsh detergents on slate, as they will damage the product. This item requires treatment with a sealant at least twice a year ? before using the furniture in spring and before storing it away for winter. Standard sealants for natural stone, such as Aqua Mix Natural Sealer, can be used to treat the surface, thereby making the slate more resistant to soil, grease etc.

There are several ways to properly store your furniture in autumn and winter months for maximum protection and to make spring cleaning easier.
1) It is best to store slate furniture indoors.
2) Alternatively, it can be stored on a covered terrace, patio or carport, where it is protected from the elements.
3) Finally, the furniture can be stored outdoors under a furniture cover. Please note, however, that condensation can form under the furniture cover, which can cause mould and mildew. Therefore, make sure to lift the cover away from the furniture to ensure proper air circulation and minimise condensation.

Warranty
RESIDENTIAL
Cane-line offers a 2 year warranty on all frames and 2 years on all fibers, tabletops (excluding glass), against any manufacturing defect, which affects their suitability for use. Parasols, glass tops and accessories including but limited to, cushions, covers are warranted with 1 year. All warranties are from the date of purchase. The warranty applies to normal conditions of use, maintenance and storage and does not apply to faults or imperfections caused by misuse, alterations, accidents, negligence, the passing of time or normal wear and tear. Circumstances not covered by this warranty, but not limited to are, scratches or marks resulting from use, shade of colors, small cracks in fiber concrete tops etc.. The warranty is limited to the repair or replacement of those products or parts of products, which Cane-line accepts to be defectively manufactured during the warranty period, at no cost to the customer. Should a product have been discontinued, Cane-line will replace with a similar and comparable product. Original invoice and receipt of purchase with clearly displayed purchase date accompanied with proper photo documentation, is required in order to treat any claim for warranty. Any claim must be submitted through the original reseller.

Cane-line does not recommend using parasols or pavilions in windy weather conditions.
